Jessica Biel was so suspicious of the men who paid thousands of dollars for a charity date with her – she brought her father along to keep her safe. The Blade Trinity actress, who is dating pop star Justin Timberlake, was stunned when one man agreed to pay $30,000 (£18,750) to have lunch with her – and two other gentlemen matched the bid. Biel went on her first date in August and was so worried about going out with a stranger, she secretly brought along her burly father in case anything went wrong. She explains, “It was really quite bizarre because somebody paid $30,000, which is crazy. And then two other people matched it!… Yes (it’s a weird situation), for sure… but I chickened out and brought my dad along and made him sit in (another part of) the restaurant just in case something weird happened.”
Justin Timberlake and Jessica Biel are reportedly just “friends with benefits”. The SexyBack singer – who is rumoured to have split from the stunning actress in September after two-and-a-half years together – has decided he still wants Jessica involved in his life so makes sure they meet regularly. A source said: “Justin was very clear with Jessica that he didn’t want to be in a serious relationship with her anymore where he wasn’t able to date other people. Jessica took the news very hard, but once she calmed down and they started talking again, he convinced her to stay friends who hook up, without all the pressure of a relationship.” “Justin gets the best of both worlds. He doesn’t have to lose Jess as a lover or a friend, but he’s free to explore other relationships.” It was reported the couple split because Justin was not ready to make a commitment and settle down.
Back in the day there was a little show on called 7th Heaven that aired weekly on the WB. It followed the usually clean-cut exploits of the very large Camden family, headed up by their minister father. And, it was the show that launched the career of a girl you might know: Jessica Biel. On the series, which made its debut in 1996 before calling it quits in 2007, Jessica played the oldest daughter, Mary Camden. She left the show in 2006 around the same time as her TV brother, Barry Watson. The reason: contract disputes. But now it seems three years later, after the dust has settled in Glen Oak, the actress would be more than happy to grace the small screen (or even the big one!) for a little 7th Heaven reunion. “I don’t know. I haven’t really been talked to about that in a really long time. It’s always possible. Yeah I’d be open to that,” she told MTV News, adding that she couldn’t think of any ideas for a plot for a reunion special. “I have no idea! My character has gone through so many different story lines,” she said. “Who knows? I don’t even remember where we left her last or what her life was like so I don’t know.” Source: MTV News
Jessica Biel has big plans to climb Mount Kilimanjaro this January to help raise global awareness about the clean-water crisis. Is she scared? No way, guys! She tells Parade:
Facing the toughest climb of her life: Mt. Kilimanjaro. “It definitely is a scary challenge because you don’t know quite how your body will react at such high altitudes. But it’s fun, it’s exciting. I’m thrilled to go. It will be a mental challenge. I think it’s really going to be a wonderful experience to have climbed Kilimanjaro.”
Facing her (lack of) fears. “I’m not trying to sound arrogant or anything, but I don’t really have a whole lot of fears. With different characters, you’re always exploring your vulnerability and insecurities. So I feel like I’m always tackling those kinds of things.”
Come on, there has to be something that scares you…
“OK, something I do have a fear of is swimming in the ocean–deep, deep in the ocean. I’ve never really done anything like that before and have kind of a fear of being way out there. Maybe someone will put on a swim one day and I’d love to face my fear, but I would be really terrified!” Source: CeleBuzz
