May 30 | Timberlake to wed Biel?

Justin Timberlake is set to propose to girlfriend Jessica Biel, according to reports. The SexyBack star, 27, is rumoured to be on the verge of asking actress Biel, 26, to marry him, after dating for over a year. A source tells British newspaper The Sun, “Justin is 27 and thinking about marriage and kids. For the first time in his life he is feeling settled and has definitely decided to pop the question to Jessica. “He is so happy with her. They spent quite a bit of time apart recently when Justin was working with Madonna. That made him certain Jessica was the person he wanted to spend the rest of his life with.” And Timberlake is rumoured to be considering the West Indian island of Mustique for the pair’s nuptials, as the land’s private ownership means paparazzi would be unable to take photos of the couple and their guests. The source adds, “Although Justin has lived his whole life in the public eye, he feels his wedding is the one day that should remain private. To get all his close friends and family to Mustique will cost a fortune. But he can’t put a price on how he feels about Jessica.”

May 27 | Biel & Gyllenhaal’s nailed hit by more problems

Production on Jessica Biel and Jake Gyllenhaal’s new movie Nailed ground to a halt on May 23, after more financial difficulties hit the cash-strapped project. A number of staffmembers failed to show up for work at the South Carolina set on May 22, after union leaders at the International Alliance of Theatrical + Stage Employees (IATSE) called for a boycott when they learned below-the-line crews were not being paid. Production is expected to resume on May 29, reports industry publication Variety. It is the third time director David O. Russell’s independent movie has been shut down. Workers belonging to the IATSE union also held up production on May 15 for similar pay reasons, while Gyllenhaal and Biel, both members of the Screen Actors Guild (SAG), walked off the set on May 09, after producers failed to show they had enough money to pay the cast. In April, veteran James Caan quit his cameo role after a bust-up with Russell.

May 24 | Gyllenhaal and Biel pulled from movie

Jessica Biel and Jake Gyllenhaal walked off the set of director David O. Russell’s new movie Nailed on May 09, after producers failed to show they had enough money to pay its cast. The Screen Actor’s Guild (SAG) will keep all castmembers from the movie until the production company shows there is enough money set aside in a union-mandated account. An on-set source tells the New York Times production on the movie is expected to resume the following week. It’s not the first scandal to strike set of the movie, which was co-written by Al Gore’s daughter Kristin – veteran James Caan quit his cameo role last month (April 2008) after a bust-up with Russell.

May 21 | Justin And Jess Heading For Diaz Disaster?

Justin Timberlake is heading for trouble over his ongoing relationship with old flame Cameron Diaz. Jessica Biel, Timberlake’s current squeeze, is said to be unhappy with the amount of time her man spends chatting with Diaz whom he was with for more than two years before their 2007 split. “Justin has made no secret of the fact that he and Cameron are still close friends,” says a source close to Timberlake. “Jess was fine with it at first but now it’s really getting to her. They talk on the phone or they email and text little messages to each other. They have so many little in-jokes that they giggle at and Jess feels left out. It’s getting to the point where she’s going to have to put her foot down because Cameron is history. She thinks she should move on and respect that Justin is with someone else now.”
