Aug 02 | Jessica Biel Loved Manly A-Team Set

Jessica Biel was “one of the guys” on the set of The A-Team. Despite being the only girl on set, the 28-year-old brunette beauty – who plays military hardliner Charisa Sosa in the reimagining of the 80s TV show – loved being surrounded by macho guys all day. Speaking at the UK premiere of the movie at the Empire cinema in London’s Leicester Square, Jessica told BANG Showbiz: “I was pretty much just one of the guys. Our director Joe Carnahan just made everything so comfortable. So I never felt like an intruder coming into a boys club. And the guys are so nice and so kind and so professional and really behaved themselves. We had a really great time.” The actress – who is currently dating pop heartthrob Justin Timberlake – was also more than happy to shoot her romantic scenes with Bradley Cooper, who plays Templeton ‘Face’ Peck. She said: “Kissing Bradley Cooper? Well somebody has to do it!” Source: Contactmusic

Jul 30 | Jessica Biel Gets Paranoid About Pimples

Jessica Biel is insecure about her looks – especially her “pimples”. The screen beauty insists she suffers from the same self-doubts as every other woman, and even more so when she has an outbreak of zits. Speaking to Look magazine, Biel – who started working as a model at the age of 12 – explained: “I get pimples on my face because I wear so much make-up and work out a lot, so I sweat. “If I gain any weight it’s always right around my hips, so that area sometimes bugs me, and I wish my legs were longer. I have the same insecurities as every other person.” Although she sticks to a strict diet and exercise regime, the A-Team actress finds it “difficult” to maintain her trim figure. Jessica is happy to admit her toned physique doesn’t come naturally to her and she has to work extremely hard to stay looking good. She said: “This doesn’t just happen naturally. I eat very well and that means staying away from sugar, coffee, bread, wheat and gluten – all the fun stuff that everyone wants to eat! “It’s hard and yes, I’m very disciplined. I can keep myself on track for a very long time but I’m not perfect and fall off the wagon every now and again. I try to create a system for myself so that when I’m working I eat well, then I pick a day – maybe Sunday – when I eat whatever I want.” Source: Contactmusic

Jul 27 | Jessica Biel Hates Toxic Critics

Jessica Biel thinks criticism can be “toxic”. The A-Team actress admits she tries to avoid paying attention to negative opinions because she doesn’t want to live her life trying to please others. She said: “If you let in, what people say about you and how people think about you, it’s just toxic. It’s just horrible to try to please a bunch of people that you’ve never met before, who want to just make assumptions about your life and your career.” Although she doesn’t like the negative response she can receive whilst in the public eye, Jessica also finds it difficult to accept a compliment. She explained: “I think you just kind of go with it more than anything else, because it’s incredibly flattering to have that said about you. But come on, let’s get serious, there are a lot of people around the world that we don’t know about who are probably incredibly beautiful, so it just feels like, ‘OK, cool. Thanks, I appreciate it.’ ” Source: Contactmusic

Jul 24 | Jessica Biel’s Food Obsession

Jessica Biel thinks food “is like a drug”. The A-Team actress admits she has cravings for healthy snacks when she is working on a movie, because she needs to be able to keep working for 18 hours at a time. She said: “I really feel like food is a drug. When I’m not eating properly, I have less energy – my body looks different, which means it looks different on film. I look different through my face. I think about those kinds of things and I want to feel more than it is the vanity part of it. I want to feel I can go 18 hours on set, if we have to, working, working, working, and feel confident about my health. So when I’m working, I’m really disciplined. When I’m not working, I’m very undisciplined.” The 28-year-old beauty admits she loves tucking into her favourite foods, but is restricted to what she can eat. She added in an interview with OK! magazine: “I love food, love it. But I’m really disciplined and boring most of the time. It’s so true!” Source: Contactmusic

Jul 21 | Jessica Biel Not Perfect

Jessica Biel is “not an angel”, but has to behave herself because of her job. The A Team star admitted while she went through a rebellious stage in her life, she now no longer has the opportunity to go crazy. She explained: “I absolutely had a mad, crazy period. Probably 16 to 22-ish, I was sneaking out of the house, getting in trouble. The thing with the US is you can’t drink until you’re 21, but everyone drinks before. “Listen, I broke the rules just like everyone else does. I’m not an angel, I’m not a perfect person who doesn’t mess up, eat bad, not work out – I mean, I do all of those things. It’s just for the most part, when I’m working, I don’t feel like I have the choice.” The 28-year-old beauty – who sticks to a strict diet and exercise regime while filming – loves drinking alcohol with her friends, but admits she is growing increasingly concerned with the damaging effects it has on her. She explained to Glamour magazine: “I love to go out and dance with my girlfriends and have a couple of glasses of rose and enjoy myself. But I’m just more concerned about how bad I’m going to feel in the morning. “Once the world starts to tilt, I know I should stop. Goldschlager is my ‘I had a terrible night on it and can never drink it again’ shot.” Source: Contactmusic

Jul 15 | Biel Fears Fans Will Hate ‘The A-Team’

Jessica Biel is concerned her fans will “hate” the big-screen remake of The A-Team – because it was so beloved as a TV show. The actress stars alongside Liam Neeson and Bradley Cooper in the movie version of the hit 1980s action series, but fears there will be a backlash from devoted followers of the original show. She says, “There’s a heightened sense of concern when you’re doing something so beloved around the world. What I always think is you can’t please everybody. There will be people who hate it; there will be people who absolutely love it. Hopefully, people will come and see it and make whatever judgement they want.” And despite the predominantly male cast, Biel enjoyed the on-set humour: “It was super-manly, but fun. They loved having some female energy. It was nice to have men and women together. All testosterone, all oestrogen – a little too much of one is never good. I felt very comfortable. But there were a lot of fart jokes!” Source: Contactmusic
